What is Second Warranty?
Second warranty is extended warranty offered by a professional, London-based company to cover laptops, desktops, and servers. The first warranty that comes with your equipment is from the manufacture and usually lasts for one year; when that runs out we can offer you a warranty for one, two, or three years from as little as 11 pence a day.
How does Second Warranty work?
It is very easy. Fill in a simple form with your details and those of your system(s). One of our engineers will verify that your system qualifies for the Second Warranty. If it does then you will be sent written confirmation notifying you that your Second Warranty has started. You can check out the benefits of Second Warranty including the fact that if we can’t fix your computer, we will replace it with a brand new one of the same or similar specification.
Can I add more than one computer to my plan?
Yes, you can. In fact, we also do bulk discounts if you take out Second Warranty on ten or more computers. Please contact us about our discount options.
Is there a maximum age limit?
Yes. We don't usually offer Second Warranty for computers that are more than five years old.
Will I pay more if I need more than one repair a year?
No. It doesn’t matter how many times your computer comes in for repair, you will pay no additional cost for any aspect covered by Second Warranty.
What happens after my computer is repaired or replaced?
The computer will be returned to you with a report about what problems were encountered and what fixes were applied together with as any additional notes (such as advice) that our engineers think might be of interest or help to you.
How long does it take to repair my computer?
In many cases our turnaround time is 48 hours. However, if the parts are not in stock and have to be ordered, then it might take longer.
How long can I get Second Warranty for?
Can I purchase Second Warranty for any device?
No, we currently offer Second Warranty for laptops, desktops, and servers which are up to five years old.
Is there a limit for a repair?
No. However, in some cases the computer is better to be written off. If that is the case, then you will be notified and offered a new replacement system.
If my computer can't be repaired, can I choose which computer to replace my old one with?
If we can’t fix your computer, we will replace it with a brand new one of the same or similar specification. We are happy for you to suggest a particular make/model but we do not guarantee to offer you your preference. (You would also have the option to upgrade your system if you chose to through a combination of the Second Warranty plus an additional payment to cover the upgrade.)
